    How to Use

    Prerequisites

    Setup Steps

    1

    Configure Initial Settings

Open the 'πŸ“‹ Configuration Settings' node. Input the competitor domains you want to monitor, your primary target regions, and a list of seed keywords relevant to your industry.

    2

    Set Up API Credentials

Navigate to your n8n credentials section. Add new credentials for each required service: Ahrefs, SEMrush, BuzzSumo, AnswerThePublic, OpenAI, Reddit, Airtable, Notion, and Slack, ensuring the correct authentication method is used for each.

    3

    Prepare Your Databases

In Airtable, create a new base named 'content-research-base' with two tables: 'competitor-intelligence' and 'keyword-opportunities', ensuring the field names match the documentation. In Notion, create a new database to serve as the destination for your AI-generated reports.

    4

    Connect Output Nodes

Configure the 'πŸ’Ύ Save to Airtable' nodes by selecting your newly created base and tables. Update the 'πŸ“ Save to Notion' node with your database URL, and set the correct channel in the 'πŸ“’ Send Slack Alert' node.

    5

    Activate the Workflow

Once all nodes are configured and credentials are set, activate the workflow. It will now run automatically on its daily schedule, performing the entire research and reporting cycle without manual intervention.

    Pro Tips

    1
To manage API costs, consider adjusting the 'Daily Schedule Trigger' to run every 2-3 days instead of daily, especially during initial testing.
    2
Expand the workflow's capabilities by adding a branch to analyze the sentiment of Reddit comments for deeper audience understanding.
    3
Create a custom dashboard in Airtable or your BI tool of choice that visualizes the data collected by this workflow to easily spot long-term trends.
